Mr. Roderick J. Gillis III is the President and Director of both VIEWPOINT® Realty International, Inc. and VIEWPOINT® Franchise International, Inc., and has been since both companies’ inception.

Under his leadership, his real estate company ranks in the top 16 real estate companies in the greater Tampa Bay area. Throughout his real estate career, Mr. Gillis has been an annual million dollar producer and has been responsible for the sale of hundreds of hospitality properties and other commercial ventures.

After spending the first 14 years of his life in Harrisburg, PA, he moved to Clearwater in 1955, graduated from Clearwater High School in 1959, and like his son, excelled in sports. He attended Eastern Kentucky University on a full football scholarship and graduated from the University of Tampa in 1965 with a degree in Physical Education and History. In 1964 he was voted outstanding lineman and was rewarded with the honor of being a Little All American. Mr. Gillis’ early career was devoted to teaching and coaching, both in high school and in the universities of Tampa and Miami. In the early 70’s Mr. Gillis was licensed to sell life and health insurance as well as securities and became a million dollar producer with the Equitable of Iowa.

Ricks hobbies are fishing, hunting and football; he also shares his wife’s passion for their race horses.
